The Winspace HYPER spoke is a high-modulus carbon fiber component designed to solve the two biggest enemies of speed: weight and elastic stretch.

1. Integrated Mechanical Bonding

Unlike some first-generation carbon spokes that were glued together, Winspace uses a mechanical interface. The carbon fiber is molded around the threaded alloy ends.

• Benefit: This prevents the spoke from pulling out of the head or nipple under high tension, ensuring long-term reliability and serviceability.

2. Tapered Aero Profile

The spoke isn't just a round stick. It features a sophisticated bladed aero profile.

• Width: Approximately 3.2mm at the widest point of the blade.
• Aerodynamics: The shape reduces "spoke windage" (the drag created as the wheel rotates), which becomes significantly more noticeable at speeds over 35km/h.

3. Lateral Stiffness & Tensile Strength

Carbon fiber has a much higher strength-to-weight ratio than stainless steel.

• Stiffness: Carbon spokes are roughly 30% stiffer than high-end steel spokes (like the Sapim CX-Ray).
• Power Transfer: Because carbon doesn't "stretch" or "load up" under torque, your power transfer is instantaneous. When you stomp on the pedals, the wheel reacts immediately.
